When you submit an inquiry or booking-related form (for example a retreat, corporate, experience, or guest-list request), we collect what you enter — typically your name, email address, and details about your stay or event. If you join our newsletter, we collect your email address. You never have to provide more than you're comfortable with; forms only ask for what we need to respond.
We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our site — pages viewed, buttons clicked, device and browser type, and approximate (city-level) location. We also use the Meta (Facebook) Pixel to measure whether our marketing on Instagram and Facebook leads to visits and bookings. Both run only if you click "Accept" on our cookie banner. If you decline, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and nothing is collected by these tools; the site works identically either way. Your choice is stored in your browser, and you can change it any time — manage your cookie preferences.
Separately from the tools above, we use first-party link measurement (provided by Dub) to understand which of our own links and campaigns — for example a link shared by a creator or partner we work with — bring visitors to our site and lead to inquiries or bookings. When you arrive through one of our links, an identifier is stored in your browser and, if you later submit an inquiry or book, it is connected to that request so we can credit the campaign that brought you. This measurement is limited to activity on our own site and booking pages, is not used to track you across other websites, and is never shared with advertising networks. This measurement is region-aware: where notice is legally sufficient (such as the United States), it operates as essential first-party measurement, is disclosed here, and is not governed by the analytics opt-out in our consent tool (which controls Google Analytics and Meta); where consent is required (such as the EU and UK), it runs only after you accept.

Reservations and payments are handled by trusted third-party providers — our booking engine (Guesty, at book.cloud9resorts.com) and payment platform (ChargeAutomation). Your payment card details are collected and processed by those providers, not by this website, and are protected under their security standards and privacy policies. We receive the booking information needed to host you: your name, contact details, stay dates, and party size.
To respond to your inquiries, manage and improve your stay, send communications you've asked for, understand how our website and marketing perform, and meet legal obligations (such as short-term-rental permit requirements). We keep information only as long as needed for these purposes and for our business records.
We share information only with service providers who help us operate — booking, payments, analytics, and communications — and only what they need to do their job. If you accept cookies, Meta receives limited information about your visit (such as pages viewed) to measure and improve our advertising; declining the banner, or withdrawing consent via the cookie-preferences link above, stops this. We do not sell your personal information. If our practices ever change in a way that constitutes "selling" or "sharing" under California law, we will update this policy first and provide a clear opt-out.
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to request a copy, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to not be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
